As the Commodity Cluster Leader you manage the integral Purchasing Cluster containing all Mechanical / Electronics to ensure competitive, innovative and high quality components and systems for the business lines in the Netherlands.

What does your work consist of

  • Manages the Cluster Mechanical and Electronics for the Netherlands;
  • Spend >100M eur annually.
  • Reports to CPO NL and be part of the NL Purchasing MT.
  • Operationally and Strategically Manages the cluster purchasing team (8 FTE).
  • Aligns with Acquisition Project Management (APM) organization on Business strategy requirements.

How do you manage that

  • Ensures in depth cross functional (Supply Chain, Quality and Engineering) teaming in Family Technology Teams (i.e. the commodities under responsibility of the segment) and QLTC teams between purchasing and engineering and supply chain in developing strategies, implementation and managing the supply base.
  • Manages supplier relations (SRM) through assigning the Supplier Account Manager (SAM) & teams to optimize the quality of relations between organization and the concerned suppliers. Part of Steering team BMR's with key suppliers.
  • Drives the negotiation and contracting plans across NL for his Cluster and ensures competitiveness through Design for Costs initiatives and early involvements.
  • Ensures full participation and synergies with Group Purchasing Segment teams.
  • Draws up forecast Purchasing plans and commits to improving Purchasing and Supplier Performance.
  • Develops and implements signed off purchasing commodity strategies for the Cluster/Families and tracks the related performance targets.

  • Strategically strong, able to define and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with overall business strategy of organization. Influence overall business strategy where required. Has the capacity to compare & manage the risks.
  • Commercially Strong. Top negotiator and contracting experienced.
  • Able to build strong relationships externally and internally, an excellent communicator and networker.

Experience

  • 10+ years of strategic purchasing or commercial experience in an international company. Preferable Multi-national / Corporate.
  • Business administration background (University) or similar.
  • High tech , Electronics / Mechanical/ Industry experience
  • Fluent in the English language. Dutch and or French is beneficial.
