Global Strategic Category Manager Raw Materials

As a Global Category Manager, you make an important contribution to the execution of the business strategy:

• Advanced strategic thinking skills with ability to analyze data, understand interdependencies and develop strategies at a regional or global category level
• Actively engage with key stakeholders from different Business Lines to understand business requirements and incorporate them into the supplier selection and decision making process.
• Work closely with stakeholders to align technical and commercial requirements, secure total costs and inculcate long-term partnership with key suppliers.

You will have exposure to high level business decision making. The chance to work with various stakeholders. Amongst them: a mature global procurement team , suppliers, site planners & senior management (Directors & Vice Presidents). On top of that the opportunity to drive and lead global continuous improvement projects!

You will be reporting directly to the Procurement Director of Technical Solutions and Head of Procurement of EMEA region

Due to the nature of the job, travel (15 – 20 %), mainly within Europe is required.

Location; Amsterdam/Amersfoort

To be eligible for this strategic challenging position; Minimum 5 years procurement experience of strategic procurement and category management, advanced strategic thinking skills & extensive negotiation experience. On top of that strong analytical skills and a Bachelor or master’s degree related to the industry.

Furthermore, you have/are:

• Comprehensive experience of working with international sourcing across regions in high complexity environment.
• Strong stakeholder management & capability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Fluent in English, both verbal as well as in writing.

Salary range for this job: 94k – 118k EUR before tax, excl bonus.
