Global Category Manager Consulting, Legal Services & Marketing

You will join a 150-employee Global NPR Procurement organization and you will report into Global Manager Functional Procurement

This instrumental and influential Global Category Manager Consulting, Legal Services ,Marketing position is based in Amsterdam. You will be part of a team of 8 colleagues based either in Arnhem or Amsterdam. This is from where your core task will be to design and drive the Overall Category Strategy, source suppliers for Consulting, Legal Services & Marketing, while optimizing commercial terms and total cost of ownership.
This requires you to actively engage with the key business leaders and colleagues, Nouryon Leadership and other key stakeholders to gather business requirements and specifications within different Business Functions and incorporate these into sourcing strategies, supplier selections and decisions.
You will be globally responsible for these categories, being the main point of contact for suppliers regarding contractual and commercial topics. As part of performance and escalation management, also taking ownership of issues with internal stakeholders.
Furthermore, you will lead and support cross-functional teams for RFPs, negotiations, and contracting. Strong cooperation with internal stakeholders and other functions (such as legal) is of the essence and part of your DNA. This should result in the selection and contracting of suppliers that have effectively met the business requirements by providing high quality products or services at competitive cost.
At all times you maintain a continuous approach to learning and market intelligence in order to keep up with the best source of supply, benchmarking, and market trends.

To apply for this position, you should match below profile:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration or another relevant discipline;
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Category Management; Procurement; Global Sourcing environment;
• Experience with indirect/services procurement. Sourcing background in the mentioned category and knowledge of the industry is an advantage;
• Able to deploy solid negotiation and problem-solving skills while working and executing with a high level of autonomy;
• Sound business acumen and interpersonal skills, skilled at managing internal and external stakeholders;
• Analytical and administrative skills with an eye for detail
• Good presentation skills and ability to analyze data and technical requirements from different angles;
• The highest levels of integrity and business ethics, along with sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to adapt your approach accordingly;
• Strong communication skills, including a strong Microsoft Office capability and fluent written and spoken English.
