Global BU Procurement Director (€ 800 mio spend)

In this role you’re member of the Global Procurement Leadershipteam and will report direct to the CPO (boardmember) You will be the raw materials procurement business partner of a BU. The high impact at topline and bottomline results of raw material conditions causes joined ownership of business results with high visibility. You’ll lead a global senior raw materials category management organisation of 18fte with 4 Regional Procumerement Managers as direct reports. Business partnering, sustainability and supplier management are todays priorities.

Location: The Netherlands

• Bachelors or Masters Degree, within Business Administration, Engineering or other relevant area.
• Minimum 10 years work experience of strategic, project and operational procurement of which 5 with direct procurement. +3 years experience of people management ideally in a multinational company.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and inspire to change

• Strong focus on value creation and performance management
• Good understanding of external business trends
• Strong analytical skills: highly numerate, structured, organized, and accurate
• Experience in change management and of working in a multinational environment.
• Comprehensive experience in category management.
• Good communication skills with the ability to engage people at all levels of the organization
• Strong negotiating skills and business acumen
• Ability to prioritize efficiently and strong decision making skills
• Highly effective with stakeholder management and capability to build strong relationship internally and externally
• Analytical mind set and excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to resolve conflicts and building organizational alignment
