European Trade Director

As a Trade Director you’re member of the AMS Sourcing Management Team (4fte), developing the sourcing strategy for the total AMS Sourcing. You’ll manage a team of 12 Trade Managers and Trade Assistants.

Your key result areas are

• Sourcing execution
• Relations management
• New business
• Department management

You are a seasoned procurement professional in Retail, with excellent negotiation skills who is able to manage the markets of today at an outstanding level. In addition you have the vision and creativity to develop the value proposition of AMS Sourcing. You are decisive and have the sensitivity and excellent communication skills to execute strategy in a multicultural environment. As a peoplemanager you’re able to inspire and support your team to realize best in class results in an environment of development and pleasure.

We think the best candidates meet the following requirements

• Education: University degree in business economics or commercial management
• Experience: at least 10+ years commercial / buying experience
• Personality/ skills: negotiation skills, strong developed analytical skills, power of persuasion, results oriented, Microsoft office suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word), presenting and public speaking, sensitive to cultural differences and a productive use of these differences.
• Language: English as a working language, additional language skills are an advantage.
