Category Manager T&E Services/QHSE EMEIA

You will be responsible within your Region for Technical and Engineering Services and QHSE and will report into the Regional Procurement Manager.

Based in Amsterdam/Amersfoort, your core task will be to drive your assigned categories in collaboration with the Tactical site buyers located at our sites throughout Europe.

Strong cooperation with internal stakeholders and other functions (such as legal) is of the essence and part of your DNA. This should result in the selection and contracting of suppliers that have effectively met the business requirements by providing high quality products or services at competitive cost.

You will be responsible to build and maintain competitive contacts with those suppliers to secure total cost of ownership solutions.
You will lead cost reduction activities both cross functionally and across businesses and sites to identity and capture synergies.

This requires you to actively engage with the key business leaders and colleagues, Nouryon Leadership and other key stakeholders to gather business requirements and specifications within different Business Functions and incorporate these into sourcing strategies, supplier selections and decisions.

At all times you should maintain a continuous approach to learning and market intelligence in order to keep up with the best source of supply, benchmarking, and market trends.

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration or another relevant discipline
• Comprehensive experience of working with international sourcing across regions in high complexity environment
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership with a high level of autonomy to develop spend and cost reduction projects and execute on those together with stakeholders and other procurement members
• Willingness to work with personal cost targets and having the ability to develop and change strategy and apply various tools and actions to reach targets
• Highly effective with stakeholder management and capability to build strong relationship internally and externally
• Good presentation skills and ability to analyze data and technical requirements from different angles
• Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
• Language: Fluent written and spoken English
