At Minkels, we are looking to strengthen our purchasing team with a Tacticaal Buyer. As a Tactical Buyer, you will be responsible for several categories. You will have daily contact with colleagues from various departments such as engineering, production, quality, production/assembly, and, of course, with suppliers. You actively and continuously seek opportunities to improve conditions and performance within your area of responsibility, with sustainability playing an important role, contributing significantly to the further professionalization of Procurement at Minkels. This involves close collaboration with the corporate buyers of the Legrand Group, and you will report to the Purchase Director Benelux of Legrand, who is also part of the Minkels Management Team.

What will you be doing?

  • You will participate in procurement improvement projects and focus on procurement savings;
  • You will visit suppliers to achieve mutual improvements, conduct audits, and promote CSR and sustainability;
  • You will request quotes from both existing and new suppliers;
  • You will select, analyze, and evaluate suppliers, ensuring favorable agreements throughout the procurement process;
  • When purchasing new and existing products and services, you will always be attentive and ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery performance;
  • You will review, prepare, and negotiate contracts and agreements;
  • You will monitor and optimize delivery times and other logistical parameters in coordination with sales/operations and suppliers;
  • You will be alert to take direct action and escalate in case of delivery time or quality deviations.

Profile

  • Completed Bsc education preferably in a technical or business economics direction;
  • Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage;
  • Possession of NEVI I diploma, NEVI II is an advantage;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (365) and experience with ERP systems;
  • Strong communication skills are essential;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, German and French are an advantage;
  • You have persuasiveness and excellent skills in negotiation, planning, and organization.
